Mission

The Maple Grove Arts Council serves to enhance the community with all art disciplines through awareness, appreciation and participation and to promote the community's unique art culture.

Our Story

The Maple Grove Arts Council began the summer of 1998 from an ad placed in the paper looking for Maple Grove residents wishing to participate and provide leadership.  This group wrote the mission statement and described a vision of the arts in Maple Grove.  They formed a governing body and in November 1998, the by-laws were adopted and the Arts Council incorporated as a 501(c)3 organization.

Our very first sponsored event was "Swing 99" on March 28, 1999.  Since our creation, we have established the PSD 279 Student Art Show, idStock, Autumn Arts Festival and the addition of Maple Grove Arts Council Jazz Ensemble.  We continue to bring art awareness to the community through events as well as give back to the community through sponsorship and donations.

We invite you to join us as we continue to expand our horizons in the arts.  To learn more about volunteer opportunities, click here.
